Welcome to Tablemap! This guide walks you through the essential steps to complete before taking your first reservation. You don't need to finish everything at once — work through the steps in order and you'll be ready to go live in no time.

Step 1 — Create your floor plan

Tablemap is table-based, so you'll need a floor plan before anything else. Add at least one floor, then place your tables using the drag-and-drop editor. If you accommodate larger parties by combining tables, you can set up table combinations here too.

Step 2 — Add your restaurant details

Add your phone number, address, and a short description so guests know who you are. Upload a photo to complete your public profile.

→ [Editing your restaurant profile]

Step 3 — Set your opening hours

Define your weekly opening hours — at least one day must have times set. You can also add special days to override your regular hours for bank holidays, events, or one-off closures.

→ [Opening hours and special days]

Step 4 — Create your service shifts

Set up the time slots during which guests can make a reservation — for example, a Lunch service and a Dinner service.

→ [Setting up shifts]

Step 5 — Configure your booking and cancellation rules

Define how far in advance guests can book, set party size limits, and configure your cancellation policy. If you'd like to collect deposits or cancellation fees, connect your Stripe account in this step too.

💡 Tip: You don't need to complete every setting on day one. Finish steps 1–4 and you'll be ready to take reservations. Stripe and cancellation rules can be added at any time.
